Is there any way to get my 5.1 speakers to work? My last motherboard was an ATX board so I just installed a Soundblaster, but this is an ITX board and I really don't want to buy a USB sound card.Įdit: OK, after poking around on AsRock's website it states the drivers on their website doesn't come with RealTek's HD Audio manager software and I need to download it from the Microsoft store. If anything, it makes it worse, the computer just endlessly starts the driver installation program, tells you to reboot then starts the driver installation program again. I've tried downloading the drivers directly from realtek's website and it makes no difference. Every time restart the computer, all 5 speakers pop like they're about to play something but then silence. I didn't have a problem with this on my old MSI Z97 motherboard with realtek onboard sound.
The only speakers that play any audio are the front two, neither rear speakers nor the center works even if I set it to 5.1. No matter what I do, I cannot get my 5.1 speakers to work. This has been the case with 2 of my gigabyte motherboards so far and I'm really regretting buying my last gigabyte motherboard, an X570 I Aorus pro wifi.
